I’m really excited to be participating in Project 52 this year with some fellow pet photographers because it will help me achieve 2 of my goals for 2014 – 1) blog more and 2) stretch my creativity. I’m a little late to the party, since they started with introductions last week, but they have very graciously let me join in the first photo theme of JOY. What a great way to start!
I’m sure you’ll see a lot of Hazel, my blue heeler mix, each week in my Project 52 posts. She has her own stocking, that we just packed away with the Christmas decorations, that is embroidered with Joy (My husband has “Peace” and mine is “hope”), so I couldn’t think of a better subject for this week! She has such a way of greeting each day and every activity with such zest and excitement, no matter the time of day, or the weather, or how tired she has. Its an everlasting state of mind and heart that she has and its very contagious. Pets just have a neat way of bringing joy into our lives, don’t they?
Her favorite way to play with a toy, or anything for that matter, is to lay on her back and hold it above her head. She never ceases to make me laugh when she does that, so I thought it would be a great image of her to share.
Join me every Friday for a new Project 52 post. For now, be sure to check out InBetween the Blinks Photography in Raleigh, NC for more Project 52 photos!
