Italy | Rockwall Photographer

It has always been a dream of mine to visit Italy. In fact, there’s still a part of me dreaming of moving there. I think I could be very happy there. I love Italian food, Italian dessert, and certainly Italian wine! My husband surprised me with a trip to Italy in October 2013, and I could hardly contain my excitement leading up to the trip. I think I drove my coworkers and friends crazy talking about it. And they couldn’t wait to hear about it afterwards, and see pictures…

The problem (ok, its not really a problem) with being a photographer, and being in love with Italy, and actually getting to visit Italy is that you take a lot of pictures.

Something like 200 per day.

We were there for 10 days.

Yeah. Its been nearly a year, and there are still photos I haven’t sorted through.

The photos I’m sharing with you are from the Tuscan region.  I will live here someday. My heart is still in a Tuscan village called San Gimignano. When we visited this town, I was seriously overwhelmed with the beauty of it all. The tightly packed medieval structures lining cobblestone pathways, the beautifully overgrown and untamed vines, bushes and trees, and the lush rolling hills dotted with Tuscan villas were nothing short of incredible, and everything I dreamed Italy would be.

My words fail me, and these photos do not do it justice. It was nothing short of stunning. I feel incredibly fortunate to have experienced such beauty and look forward to the day that I can do it again!
